マムルーク朝時代のワクフ研究で知られるジュリアン・ロワゾー教授（エクス・マルセイユ大学）をお招きし、下記の講演会を開催いたします。皆様ふるってご参加ください。

●第一回　“Seeking for Early Islam in Ethiopia: Landmarks for a Connected History of the Horn of Africa in the Middle Ages”

講師紹介：Julien Loiseau is a former fellow of the French Institute for Oriental Archaeology in Cairo and former director of the French Research Center in Jerusalem. He is currently professor in history of the Medieval Islamic World at Aix-Marseille University. His works have focused on the history of Middle Eastern cities in the later Middle Ages and on the social history of ruling elites in the Mamluk period, based on both literary sources and documents. He has recently shifted his research to address the issue of islamization focusing on Medieval Northeastern Africa. He is currently heading the European ERC research program HornEast, seeking for evidence of connections between the Christian societies of the Horn of Africa and their Islamic environment, and is leading the Ethiopian-French archaeological mission in Bilet (Tigray, Ethiopia).
